Inside the 2026 Mextranjero Creator Meet & Greet in Ajijic, Mexico

by Justin Keltner  - March 6, 2026

Some weekends feel bigger than they look on paper.

What started as a simple plan — spend some time at the office, head into Ajijic, meet other creators, and speak at the 2026 Mextranjero Creator Meet & Greet — ended up feeling like one of those moments that quietly confirms you’re building exactly what you were meant to build.

For us, this event was about more than showing up for a creator gathering. It was about seeing, in real life, how much Entrepreneur Expat has grown. A few years ago, we were simply documenting our journey of leaving the United States, building online income, and figuring out how to create a global life that actually felt better. Now, we’ve got a physical office in Lake Chapala, a growing relocation and property management business, a YouTube channel that turned into a six-figure education and consulting brand, and a community of subscribers, clients, and fellow creators who are all part of this story.

That’s what made this weekend special.

We started at the office, which is still very much in progress in the best possible way. It’s becoming more functional every week, and you can feel the energy building around it. The plaza itself had been half-forgotten before, but little by little, life is coming back to it. More business owners are opening up, the common areas are getting cleaned and improved, and the west side of Lake Chapala keeps moving in this direction. It’s one of the reasons we planted ourselves here. You can feel the expansion coming, and more importantly, you can feel the opportunity.

While Amanda was giving updates on the office and showing the new meeting area, the kitchenette progress, and the future studio space, Justin was doing something that perfectly captures what we actually do behind the scenes. He was on the phone with a consulate, helping one of our relocation clients secure a residency appointment. That’s one of the things people rarely see. They see the videos, the community events, the properties, and the lifestyle content, but they don’t always see the actual infrastructure behind the service.

A big part of what we do at Entrepreneur Expat is remove the chaos from relocation. We handle the moving parts, the follow-ups, the backup plans, the consulate headaches, the “now they want this extra document” moments, and the endless shifting rules so our clients don’t have to piece it together alone. And honestly, that part of the day felt just as important as the event itself, because it’s a reminder that what we’ve built is not just content. It’s support.

From there, we headed into Ajijic for the Mextranjero event, and the whole vibe of the weekend was exactly why gatherings like this matter. There was this rare mix of creators, expats, future expats, subscribers, and curious people all in one place, all trying in their own way to build a life in Mexico that feels more intentional than the one they left behind.

What we loved most was how aligned the room felt. These weren’t random influencers chasing attention. These were creators who, in different ways, are committed to helping foreigners make smarter decisions about living in Mexico. Better information. Better expectations. Better transitions. That matters, especially in a space where bad advice spreads fast and Facebook groups can become a mess of conflicting opinions, half-truths, and outdated information.

Our talk during the event centered on something we’ve now lived very directly: how we used YouTube to build a six-figure education and consulting business we can take anywhere. That message resonated because it wasn’t theory. It was a real case study. We didn’t build this from a giant team, a corporate budget, or some overnight growth hack. We built it by creating useful content, showing up consistently, developing trust, and learning how to turn attention into actual offers that help people.

That’s also why we mention the Freedom Bundle so often. For people who want to understand how we built this — not just the relocation side, but the online income side too — the Freedom Bundle really is the place to start. And the Get Your First High Paying Client Online Bootcamp helps people understand the foundations of a service-based online business. Put together, those courses show how a freedom lifestyle is actually created, not just admired from afar.

One of the most meaningful parts of the weekend, though, wasn’t even on stage. It was meeting subscribers in person and finally putting faces to names. People came up to say they’d been watching for months, or years. Others asked relocation questions, booked office appointments, or just wanted to say hello. That kind of connection changes the whole experience of running a brand like this. It reminds you that the videos don’t just disappear into the algorithm. They land somewhere. They help someone. They move people into action.

And in one of those full-circle moments, we also got to reconnect with one of our coaching clients — someone we helped through the residency process last year who is now actually moving to Mexico this year. That’s the kind of progression we care about. Not just views. Not just leads. Actual transformation. Someone who was in the planning stage is now in the moving stage. That’s real.

By the end of the event, we were wiped out. Completely. Two days of standing, speaking, meeting people, answering questions, and moving nonstop will do that. But it was the good kind of tired. The kind that comes from being deeply in the work, in the community, and in the life you’ve built.

This weekend was a reminder that Entrepreneur Expat is no longer just an online idea. It’s a living ecosystem now. There’s the content, the courses, the consulting, the relocation support, the office, the local partnerships, the events, the real estate, the clients, and the community. And it all keeps feeding into the same larger mission: helping people create global lives without sacrificing comfort, income, or security.
